At Lake City Arts, volunteers are the heart of everything we do. Whether you're hosting visitors in the gallery, pouring drinks at an event, checking tickets at the door, helping out with our Arts & Crafts Festival, or inspiring young artists at kids' camp—there’s a place for you here.

No special skills required—just a willingness to pitch in and be part of our vibrant arts community. In return, you’ll get free admission to the events you help with, meet amazing people, and make a real impact in Lake City’s creative scene.

Gallery Host

Welcome visitors to our gallery and help create a warm, engaging atmosphere. As a host, you’ll greet guests, answer questions about the artists, assist with art and merchandise sales, and help patrons purchase tickets to upcoming events. It’s an excellent role for friendly, detail-oriented folks who enjoy art and connecting with the community.

Event Volunteer Opportunities

  • Bartender - Serve beer, wine, water, and soda to event guests. You’ll also help keep the bar area tidy and restock beverages as needed. Must be 21+.

  • Check-In & Ticket Sales - Welcome guests as they arrive, check them in, and sell tickets at the door. You’ll also assist with handing out programs and helping guests find their way.

Arts & Crafts Festival Volunteers

Be part of one of the most exciting weekends in Lake City! The Arts & Crafts Festival offers a variety of volunteer opportunities to fit your interests and availability:

  • Vendor Check-In – Welcome artists and vendors as they arrive, help them find their booth space, and answer basic questions about setup and the festival layout. A great role for friendly, organized volunteers.

  • Vendor Relief – Give vendors short breaks throughout the day by watching their booths for them.

  • Water Runner – Keep vendors refreshed by delivering water and checking in on their needs during the event.

  • Set-Up Crew – Assist with booth layout, signage, and getting the festival grounds ready before the event starts.

  • Tear-Down Crew – Help wrap up the event smoothly by taking down signage, moving tables, and cleaning up.

  • General Support – Float between roles, help at info booths, and lend a hand wherever needed.

Kids’ Arts Camp Volunteers

Help inspire the next generation of young artists! Our summer arts camp is full of creativity, energy, and fun—and we couldn’t do it without awesome volunteers. Here are the roles we’re looking to fill:

  • Class Leaders – Lead a specific class using a prepared curriculum (no lesson planning needed!). You’ll guide kids through creative projects and activities with support from group leaders.

  • Guest Art Teachers – Teach a one-day art class during camp week! This is a great opportunity for artists or educators to share a special skill or medium with our campers.

  • Group Leaders – Accompany a small group of kids as they rotate between classes. You’ll help keep things organized, assist where needed, and bring lots of positive energy!
