Green Willow Easter Basket Weaving
Get ready for spring with this beginner-friendly basket weaving class led by artist and nature crafter Maddie Bloomer! Using freshly harvested green willow and other natural materials, you’ll learn traditional weaving techniques to create your very own Easter basket—just in time for egg hunts, spring picnics, or nature walks.
Argentinian Food - Cooking Class
Join Cay in learning how to make delicious lentil ragù and golden empanadas – a flavorful journey of comfort and culture in the kitchen!
Lentil ragù is a hearty, plant-based twist on traditional Italian ragù. Made with lentils, a soffritto of onions, carrots, and celery, and enriched with tomatoes, garlic, and herbs, it simmers into a rich, savory sauce perfect over pasta or polenta.
Empanadas are delightful stuffed pastries popular in Latin American and Spanish cuisines. These hand-held treats feature a golden, crispy crust filled with savory ingredients such as spiced meats, vegetables, or cheese.

Paper Flower Boquets
Celebrate spring with us by making a bouquet that never fades! All flowers will be pre-cut, we'll just assemble them with a glue gun and floral tape. Bring a friend and go home with a bouquet to brighten your home.

Join Maddie as she walks you through painting "Moonrise Over Wetterhorn". This is easy to paint and fun to customize with your favorite colors. It even looks great with any details added or subtracted making it perfect for every ability level!
Hand Built Bowls (Part 1)
In this two part class you will hand build your own bowl using a mold! Lori will teach you the techniques of clay sculpting!
The first part of this class will be building your bowl out of clay. In the next part of the class you will glaze your bowl. The second part of this class is March 28th.
Mother Sauces Cooking Class
In this class Cay will instruct you on how to make the mother sauces!
What are the 5 Mother Sauces?

Anyone with little to no experience is the perfect student for this class. Katie will teach you the basics of drawing such as form, values, shading, and much more.
Mike Henry - Watercolor Value and Light Workshop (Day 2)
Join Mike Henry as he gives step-by-step instruction in basic concepts that are fundamental to capturing the beauty that surrounds us!
All supplies included, but it is recommended that students bring a watercolor sketchbook. If you prefer to work in a different medium, feel free to bring your own supplies.
Mike is a master of using light and color in his pieces. He has received numerous awards and watercolor society memberships and his work has been featured in watercolor magazines.
We are so fortunate to have Mike bring his relaxed, straight-forward instructional style and ability to coach students of all abilities to Lake City Arts!
Topics we will cover:
warm-up by making a 10 step value scale
working with the same, simple composition, paint 3 watercolor sketches: high key, middle key, low key
set the mood and atmosphere by keying your tonal values
mapping 3 tonal values from a contour sketch
tie similar values together to make stronger shapes
create depth by using adjacent and contrasting values
orchestrate the light and dark values to make a dynamic composition
front light, top light, side light, ¾ light
manipulating values
counterchange
Mike will then help each student apply these concepts to create a larger final piece.
