This Concert will feature the MacLaren String Quartet of Colorado Springs in concert with Artistic Director and pianist, David Palmer performing the Joaquin Turina, La Oracion del Torero, the lovely Rider String Quartet by Haydn and the beloved Dvorak, Piano Quartet.

Trio Trouble!

We present returning horn player, Guglielmo Manfredi with David Palmer and violinist Evgeny Zvonnikov, new to our series. Guli, Evgeny and David have been begrudgingly, performing together for some time and look forward to playing for you! Featured on this concert will be Indian composer Reean Esmail’s, Darshan Partita for solo violin III. Charukeshi, the trio of American composer Eric Ewazen, and the gorgeous and powerful Brahms, Horn trio.

Visual Meets Aural

we conclude our festival with returning violinist Michelle Skinner in concert with Miami cellist Aaron Merritt and returning Austin pianist Rick Rowley. Partnering with our peers on the visual side of the building, we are thrilled to present the famous, Mussorgsky’s Pictures and an Exhibition for solo piano as well as the Sonata for violin and cello by Joseph Jongen and Shostakovich’s Piano trio no. 1. Join us as we present these re-imagined themes originally done by painter Viktor Hartmann, now done by our wonderful friends and local artists, as Rick shares Mussorgsky’s remarkable musical telling of these artworks.
