Committee Chairperson: Konrad Rock
This committee organizes several events for the Arts Center, including the annual
Local Artists Exhibit, other art exhibits, and workshops.
Permanent Exhibit: Tile Murals, located at both ends of the Henson Creek
pedestrian bridge. In 1999, resident artists conceived and designed two, 2-sided,
5'x8', free standing ceramic tile murals depicting the storied history and natural
attractions of Hinsdale County.
During the spring and summer of 2000, scores of residents, school children, and
visitors to the county impressed designs into the individual tiles and glazed them to
be fired and added to the murals, making this a true community arts project.
